Maple candies are made from a single ingredient which is maple sap.
The maple sap is boiled until it turns to maple syrup. Then from there, the maple syrup is boiled to a higher temperature; cooled; stirred and then poured into molds.
While everything is cleaned and wiped down prior to making our maple candies, the candies are made in a kitchen that have had other food allergens (nuts, dairy, and soy) in the kitchen.
I know for some people that makes a difference, and some it does not. So I disclose that to everyone as even though the allergens are not present while making the maple candies and the maple candies do not contact the food allergens directly, the food allergens were present in the kitchen at one time. The maple syrup (which is the single ingredient the candy is made from) is produced in a 100% allergen free environment.
